Over 70% of female expats in Singapore say the destination is best for income growth and personal fulfilment.
Singapore has emerged as the leader among the top countries for expat women to make a career and increase their earnings potential, suggests HSBC’s 2017 Expat Explorer survey.
Singapore leads the chart with 18% of expat females, followed by Hong Kong (14%) and South Korea (10%).
As the survey reveals, 71% respondents agree that Singapore is one of the best destinations for women who want a bigger income, way above Hong Kong (55%), China (45%), South Korea (44%), and Vietnam (42%).
Over half of female expats also say Singapore is the best destination for work culture and personal fulfilment at work. In this category Singapore was closely followed by China (48%), India (48%), Hong Kong (47%) and Indonesia (41%).
With regards to job security Singapore comes second at 49%, while Japan and Taiwan are rated the best at 50%.
Career opportunities for expat women are best rated in China at 73% of respondents agreeing. Hong Kong comes second with 64% and India takes the third place at 62%.
